Today’s post is dedicated to my very first tuxedo cat, Jessie. This photo captured a special moment – the first time she hopped on my lap! It’s not often you have photographic proof of when you become a cat lady. ;)
Jessie was “given” to our family a few weeks after my brother and I were born, and I’m not sure my parents were thrilled since they had newborn twins! But her sweet personality was a constant calming presence in my childhood. She passed on when I was 13 years old.
Because of my dear Jessie, I have a soft spot for the tuxedo cat – their white bellies, funny nose markings and (sometimes) cute white mittens. It seems I am not alone! I found so many lovely illustrations and paintings by talented cat artists. I hope you enjoy the ones I’ve featured below. Check out my Pinterest page for more.

Please note that since many of the gifts I profile in this blog are handmade and one-of-a-kind, there’s a chance it could be gone by the time you found this page. If you click on something and it’s already sold, don’t be sad! See if you can contact the artist (if they have their own site) or go to the Shopping Guide and search for another unique item.
