Hi! My name is Cara and I am your Kitty Curator.
I wander the world wide web in search of cat inspired art, designed or handmade by independent artists and makers.
Whether you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind gift for the cat lover in your life or a place to showcase your original kitty creations, you’ve come to the right place.
My vision for Kitty Curator is to get talented, independent artists & makers in front of potential cat loving buyers through blogging and social media. As my audience grows, the more cat lovers will see what I share, and hopefully give artists the exposure they need to keep pursuing their dreams.
Why Curate Cat Art?
First, cats have always been a part of my life, as you can see from the photo. They’ve enriched my life in so many ways – silent companionship through difficult times, playfully spirited entertainment, and more recently, reminding me to be present for each moment. This project is truly a tribute to my special cat, Callie. (Read my longer story here on Medium.com). Cats are beautiful creatures, and so it’s no wonder they have inspired artists for centuries.
Second, I love surrounding myself with creative people and projects. It makes me feel alive and sparks my own creativity. I find so much joy in finding & sharing unique, handmade art and encouraging artists to create. If I can help just one artist sell one piece, I will be happy. The internet is a big place, and it’s tough to stand out. Art is essential to life and we must support our artists.
Kitty Curator is a way to fuse many of my loves & interests all together! I hope to eventually find ways to raise money for local animal groups. Please contact me if you have ideas for collaboration!

My Cat Muses
I adopted Callie and Chloe in 2011. Their mother, Mrs. Purr, was a pregnant stray. Fortunately, we were able to stop the cycle – both Callie and Chloe were spayed, as well as their siblings.
Sadly, my dear Callie passed away unexpectedly in 2015 from a blood clot. She was a special cat, the kind that fills your heart with joy. However, I am blessed to have Chloe, her sister, and I shower her with all of my affection. She is a gorgeous calico, with perhaps a little Siamese mixed in there.
Check out my article My Two Cats Won the Olympic Medal for Synchronized Napping for more fun pictures of them being adorable buddies.
